Looking at Tulsa through JJ Cale’s eyes, we remember Cale and @leonrussell both playing in their early days at Jimmy Markham’s club Fat Fannie’s across the street from @the_colony_tulsa. Founded in 1958, The Colony is still keeping the Tulsa Sound alive. Here are some artists seen at The Colony:

👉 @hellomollzz - A string player through and through, Molly Devine brings a folk feeling to every song she plays.

👉 @amberjeannewatsonmusic - As someone who says that words can be hard, Amber speaks through her music. With every song exploring new styles and genres, she plays with a jazz influence and 100% soul.

👉 @paulbenjaman - Building on the classic Tulsa Sound pioneered by the likes of JJ Cale and Leon Russell, Paul Benjaman expands their groove-based genre to include most styles of American music with a strong dose of guitar power.
