## Caption

A fatal traffic collision occurred on Telegraph Avenue this afternoon around 3 p.m. when a bicyclist was struck by an oncoming vehicle. 

At 2:52 p.m., the Berkeley Police Department responded to a call reporting a collision on Telegraph between Haste Street and Dwight Way. 

According to BPD spokesperson Byron White, a northbound vehicle hit a southbound cyclist, who was transported to Highland Hospital in Oakland and subsequently pronounced dead.
