Just before I left the house to head to the airport for our trip to #Madrid to cover the #Commanders, my spirit moved me to grab this POWERFUL book #OhThePlacesYoullGo …

You see, my beautiful wife and I bought this Dr. Seuss classic for my son during his early days. To be honest, I’m not certain I’d ever read it before we cracked the pages for him. I remember the first time we opened it — the 3 of us cuddled on the bed time. 1 book a night, part of our bedtime routine

As we read the pages, I MARVELED at how inspirational the messaging was. How potent and powerful the word were and how the theme of BE YOURSELF and ENJOY the PROCESS were hammered to the reader, even if in colorful, jovial language

I knew the messaging was a bit high brow for my son at the time,  but that was ok, the illustrations kept him entertained— but for his Father, the Script was EVERYTHING I needed 🙌🏽 the timeframe was around 2021. Professionally, Id lost just about everything during the pandemic: all of my savings, career momentum and even what I’d thought was my ‘Big Break, Dream Job’… 

It was ALL GONE. And I layed in that bed, nightly with my wife and my son — sharing these beautiful moments— while on the inside harnessing a drowning fear of not being certain how much longer I could afford to take care of these two ppl that were my WORLD

This book. This children’s book… lent me comfort. It reminded me that life was a journey filled with ups and downs and that if we can find a way to DANCE through the RAIN, the warmth of the sunshine would be that much more potent 🙌🏽

12 years ago I began my journey in the sports industry. I was 32 and had no experience. No one would hire me. I created my own platform, covering youth and high school sports-built relationships and dedicated myself to working harder than I could ever imagine. I became a better person and committed myself to treating ppl the right way. For a moment, I THOUGHT I’D LOST IT ALL… but I just kept going 👣 

On 11.16.2025 we crushed the coverage of an NFL game from the famed #Bernabeu stadium…
