📖 Episode 24: The Responsibility of the Powerful

Dhul Qarnayn was a man of immense power, but it wasn’t his status that earned him praise in the Quran. It was the way he used that power with justice, humility, and in obedience to Allah.

💡 Power doesn’t just belong to kings and rulers. It lives in every role we hold—as parents, teachers, bosses, older siblings, influencers, community leaders.

The Prophet ﷺ reminded us:

“Each of you is a shepherd, and each of you is responsible for his flock.”
[Sahih al-Bukhari 893, Sahih Muslim 1829]

Allah says of Dhul Qarnayn:

“Indeed, We established him upon the earth, and We gave him from everything a means.”
(Surah Al-Kahf 18:84)

✨ But establishment isn’t the reward, it’s the responsibility. If Dhul Qarnayn had used his power differently, he wouldn’t be remembered as he is.
