⛓️‍💥 FRAGILE, HANDLE WITH CARE 💔​​

The 1.5°C climate limit is the line scientists say helps protect millions of people from the worst heat, floods and climate disasters. And it is now hanging by a thread.

A new Greenpeace report at #COP30 shows the G20, the world’s 20 biggest economies responsible for most global emissions, is still far from the action needed to keep the 1.5 °C limit alive.
And without that, deadly heat, floods, fires and worsening climate disasters will hit millions of people who did nothing to cause this crisis.

Inside the COP venue in Belém, we marked the tenth anniversary of the Paris Agreement by building a fragile Eiffel Tower out of cardboard boxes with the message: Fragile. Handle With Care. Because the 1.5°C limit is under threat, and what happens now will decide whether communities can stay safe or face unbearable climate chaos.

Countries at COP30 must must finally act to protect millions of people and deliver a Global Response Plan:

🛢️ Phase out fossil fuels
⚡ Fast track renewables
🌳 End deforestation
💸 Make polluters pay

There is no safe level of warming. Every fraction of a degree avoided matters. Hope is found in action. And this is the moment to act.
