Sometimes God allows the road to be tougher than expected. Whenever this happens please remember that this is a gift. Painful? Yes. At the same time it’s an opportunity to grow. If you ever find yourself surrounded in a dark alley, it’s okay if you have people next to you that you trust and that you have your back. Then you find that no matter the outcome you’re in the foxhole with people that you love and trust. That’s what makes competition such a sacred ground. You put it all on the line and you get tested every week. It’s a place of worship where God gets the glory even if you walk away without getting what you expected. Psalm 139:12 says “even the darkness is not dark to You; the night is bright as the day, for darkness is as light with You.” My friends, if you ever find yourself surrounded in a dark alley of your life, remember this. God has night vision and He’s always got your back. Brighter days ahead. Fight to the finish no matter the outcome. Hebrews 12:28-29 says “Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful. By it, we may serve God acceptably, with reverence and awe,  for our God is a consuming fire. ”
