Celebrating nearing the end of my 30’s in my happy place thebroadmoor and it couldn’t have come at a better time 💜

To know me is to know that I love The Broadmoor. I lived in Colorado Springs for several years as a kid, and while I didn’t stay there then, I have so many memories of the area and the grounds. It reminds me of my dad, and holds a really special place in my heart. 

Since I’ve moved back to Colorado as an adult I’ve stayed multiple times (including for my 37th birthday) and have also visited the restaurants, walked the grounds or enjoyed some wine in the library with a good book on a day trip more times than I can count. 

I love new challenges and being independent and pushing myself, but I also have to remember — especially lately — that it is so important to also be cared for. That the best moments in life are found in the contrasts.  And that it’s equally as important to do things that are indulgent and that simply bring me joy. 

And that’s exactly what being here does for me. It feels like stepping into another world entirely. Where I don’t have to think about anything except relaxing and recharging and enjoying the incredible views. 

And that’s exactly what I did. I woke up to watch the warm sun blanket the mountains, enjoyed walking the grounds under the fall leaves, took the short ride to seven_falls to hike and see the spectacular waterfalls, then had wine while reading a new book, before amazing meals at Summit and The Penrose Room —where I could get dressed up and truly be catered to. The staff here is truly on a different level than anywhere I’ve ever visited, and makes every interaction feel really special.

It’s not my everyday, but that’s what makes it so magical. So rejuvenating. And I’m so grateful to have had this time.
