🏗️ THE ZAMORA TEMPLE IS CHANGING: Irondale removed the iconic dome on the Zamora Temple yesterday as they build a nearly $20M million Civic Center in its place. Get the details👇
 
💰Opened in 1985, by the Zamora Shriner’s Masonic Organization the distinctive temple was a highly visible landmark for decades. The City purchased it in 2022 for $5M. 
 
✨The 105-acre property + building will become a premier destination for recreation + events.
 
The New Civic Center will include:
👨‍💼 Conference Hall for up to 1,500 people
🤝 Community meeting rooms 
🛝 A splash pad, playground + pavilion
🚶‍♀️ A walking trail + pickleball courts 
🎤 An amphitheater
🚗 Upgraded parking
🏋️‍♀️ Fully equipped fitness center
 
👉 The city is considering ways to preserve or sell the dome.
