Time to clean my gar! Highly recommend tin snips to cut through the armored scales. 

Gar balls are a traditional dish down in south Louisiana!

I make mine with fresh ground gar meat mixed with stovetop stuffing, eggs, seasoning, shape them into balls, roll in flour and then fry them to a golden crisp.
