## Caption

When I was writing my book Peculiar Baking, it started in my head as a series of images and feelings. I wanted each photo to feel as though it transported the reader to another world just like the ideas transport me. westonsaintjames (the photographer) and I spent weeks sourcing materials and brewing ideas to achieve this. Each shot took loads of time. The first photo alone was a two week mission because the cookies kept breaking and they didn’t position very well in mid-air. After many crumbled cookies, we found out that hanging them from wire and not string was the answer all along. This part of making the cookbook was the absolute THE BEST! Collaboration with Weston and pulling out the world that resides inside my mind is definitely one of my favorite projects to date. So when you skim through the book and observe the photos, know that everything in these works of art is intentional and came from the heart.
