## Caption

The Mudtroopers were not originally created as Imperial troops. They are actually a modern reinterpretation of the old “Swamp Troopers” concept from the Star Wars Legends universe of the 1990s. 

The art department for Solo: A Star Wars Story revived those nearly forgotten designs—soldiers meant for swampy, toxic environments—and transformed them into the gritty Imperial infantry deployed during the brutal Mimban campaign.
