This path isn’t easy. It’s just worth it. 

Truth fears no question. You see me in the reel before talking to our combined grade school through HS guys on how you’re supposed to have fun along this hoops journey. The words I share in this clip come from a place of love and care for the HS guys who came through the 9 weeks of training @taysmaller, Camden Parenti, (along with @hayden.nichols @mikael_rizvi @stevennllong) gave to our guys through @meadowparkbasketball as they prepped for the tryouts at took place on Monday. 

What I’ve learned over the years teaching the game is that in this game where there are winners and losers, the FUN comes through when you are competing to be the best that you are capable of being. It is a mindset that each kid needs to bring into every rep and those who embrace that hard, and keep working in faith that it will all be worth it at the end is what we try to give to those who are in the gym with us. 

For all the kids who are now on the other end of the tryouts, how will you respond to where you landed in your program? Whether good or bad, we hope that this clip is a reminder to be rooted in integrity and a hunger to be the best that you were meant to be.
