Beautiful evening on the water.  I've been fishing these lobster recreationally for almost 25 years now.  Back in the early days, there was little information and it was a mission just finding standard flat hoopnets.  The fun part was the adventure of the unknown and having to figure things out by trial and error.  Then came the hoopnet boom about a decade ago and all of a sudden the local jetties looked like marine raves 🤣. 

We saw a little bit of that last night with it being Saturday.  The popularity and technology has changed a bit but last night reminded me of the early days of hand pulling and feeling them kicking on the way up.  If you've never done it, give it a whirl.  It's FUN!  Don't use a hauler the first time either, at least until you pull your first legal.  Earn it!
