Our organizer, Rija Arshad, represented the Muslim Civic Coalition at the Cook County Board of Commissioners meeting to speak on behalf of the IL Network for Pretrial Justice. 

She called on the Commissioners to freeze law enforcement and carceral spending to protect and expand social services under attack by the federal administration.
