Rising Stars: Meet Girl Named Nino (Voyage LA Feature)

The music industry loves to present success as a straight line - a highlight reel, a “right place, right time” narrative.

But most of us don’t come from that world. I certainly didn’t.

I grew up across continents, learned the industry from scratch, built my own label, funded my own education, and carved a lane in singing, songwriting, production, performance, and now spatial audio because there wasn’t a blueprint for someone like me.

In this Voyage LA feature, I spoke honestly about:

• navigating an industry still shaped by bias
• being an immigrant building a career without inherited access
• why spatial audio isn’t a trend for me - it’s my language
• and how trusting my timing changed everything

If my story does anything, I hope it reminds someone out there that unconventional trajectories aren’t a liability - they’re a superpower.
