While on a trip in Belize, this person was baiting tarpon when one of the huge fish launched out of the water and clamped right onto their hand. For a moment it looks like the tarpon is trying to swallow it before finally letting go and splashing back down.

The whole thing turns a simple fishing moment into a wild close call with one of the ocean’s most powerful fish.
