I’ve been thinking about some lessons I learnt from someone I knew well — Gertrude, who lived to 106.

She had a way of putting things simply:
• Don’t take advice from someone living a life you wouldn’t want.
 • Listen more than you speak.
 • Make time for your wellbeing.
 • Leave your comfort zone so you can grow.
 • Take the harder road now — it makes life easier later.

I still come back to these often, so I wanted to share them.
