Governor Abbott has announced that the runoff election to fill the vacant Texas Senate District 9 seat will be held on January 31, 2026.

The two candidates who secured the most votes in the Nov. 4 special election and advanced to this runoff are: 
🗳️ Taylor Rehmet (Democrat) 
🗳️ Leigh Wambsganss (Republican)

Early voting begins January 21. The FWC encourages all eligible voters to get out and vote in this important election. Stay tuned for additional updates.
