No. 20 Tennessee finally broke one of the SEC’s most lopsided active streaks, dominating Florida 31–11 in Gainesville for the Volunteers’ first win in The Swamp since 2003. Tennessee (8–3, 4–3 SEC) overwhelmed the Gators from the opening snap, scoring touchdowns on each of their first four drives and racing out to a 31–0 halftime lead — their most dominant half against Florida in 35 years.

Running back DeSean Bishop powered the Vols with 116 rushing yards and two touchdowns, including a highlight-reel flip into the end zone to cap a blistering first quarter. Tennessee rolled up 323 yards in the opening half and consistently pushed Florida’s defense backward while the Gators struggled mightily to respond.

Quarterback Joey Aguilar was sharp and efficient, completing 17 of 22 passes for 204 yards, including an opening-drive touchdown to tight end Ethan Davis. The Vols leaned on the run after halftime, finishing with 248 rushing yards and controlling the clock to secure their second straight win over Florida in the rivalry.

Florida (3–8, 2–6 SEC) couldn’t find rhythm on either side of the ball, negating big plays with penalties, missing a field goal, and failing on fourth down. A costly fair-catch miscue on the second-half kickoff pinned the Gators at their own 2-yard line, epitomizing a mistake-filled afternoon. A 46-yard field goal by Trey Smack in the third quarter extended Florida’s NCAA-record scoring streak to 472 consecutive games, but it was the lone offensive highlight.

As the clock winded down, Tennessee fans filled the lower bowl and Aguilar hyped them up with a mock Gator chomp, celebrating a long-awaited breakthrough victory in one of college football’s toughest venues.
