Hala’s new friendships enriched her experience at SOAS and she is now looking into working opportunities in economic policy and international development: “I want to work in spaces where policy meets practice, where economic analysis can directly impact the lives of people, particularly in the Global South.” 

For Hala, a scholarship doesn’t just help one individual, it impacts the entire society: “When you fund a scholarship, you're not just changing one life – you're potentially changing how we all understand and address the biggest challenges of our time.
