Jared Parsonage won the 2025 PBR Canada Championship, the 2025 PBR Canada Finals, the 2025 CFR and the 2025 CPRA Bull Riding Championship…then promptly retired from the sport. Win wins across both sanctioning bodies, appearances at the PBR World Finals and NFR, his career is undoubtedly in contention for one of the greatest Canadian bull riders ever.

I have been lucky enough to watch and document a big chunk of his career, and figured it would be fun to look back at all the times he came out on top on the PBR Canada Cup Series, a total of 9 wins at the premier level.

1. Very few people knew it in this moment, Jared Parsonage stands on the centre stage for his last introduction at a PBR event in November of 2025 at the PBR Canada Finals. 

2. Parsonage broke through in 2018, taking home the title at the PBR Canada Cup Series stop in Abbotsford, BC. 

3. His second win came at the start of 2019, winning in Lethbridge, Alberta. 

4. During the PBR Canada Cup Series venture into the maritimes, Jared Parsonage would take home his second win of the season in Halifax, NS in 2019.

5. Three seasons went by, and in 2022 Jared would take home the win at $35,000 bonus at the PBR Canada Finals in Edmonton.

6. Red Deer’s season starting event in 2023 was won by the Maple Creek, SK cowboy.

7. Parsonage’s sole win of 2024 came in Kelowna, a season that would see him injured towards the end of the season while in contention for titles in both the CPRA and PBR. 

8. Riding Jim Thompson’s Moonwalk for the first time, for 90 points in Ottawa, ON would set up a bull rider relationship that would help bring the cowboy to his 2025 titles. 

9. Splitting the win with Dakota Buttar in Grande Prairie, Parsonage rode Moonwalk again for an event win. 

10. Not only would he win the National Championship in 2025, he would ride Moonwalk to an 87.5 score and the event win in Edmonton for his 9th Cup Series win before his retirement.
