#Top10Countdown Day 8️⃣

Cadet Matthew Kleinschuster is a senior at the Virginia Military Institute studying Applied Mathematics with a minor in Business.

At a young age, Kleinschuster’s parents instilled strong values of service and freedom. He is fourth generation military service, with a brother and brother-in-law all serving as officers in the Army. 

He joined #ArmyROTC to serve his country and defend what he believes in while working together to accomplish goals. 

Kleinschuster holds leadership roles within the VMI and cadet systems. He is currently the company commander for VMI and the battalion commander for Army ROTC. 

VMI Cadre see Kleinschuster as an exceptional cadet who currently provides leadership for nearly 1,100 peers. He tackles challenges with maturity and determination, possessing wisdom beyond his years. 

He’s been involved in rugby, jujitsu, and the VMI #RangerChallenge team. Before attending #CST2025, Kleinschuster attended SERE-C and Air Assault School. 

Post graduation, Kleinschuster hopes to be an officer in the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Branch.
