Deepening Cultural and Tourism Partnerships: A Sister City Exchange in Orléans, France 🇫🇷

We were honored to travel to Orléans, France, at the invitation of our sister city, to participate in a cultural exchange mission focused on strengthening our shared commitment to diplomacy, the arts, tourism, and international cooperation. 🌍🎭✈️

Our delegation was graciously welcomed by William Chancerelle, Deputy Mayor of Orléans; Julien Huguenin, Project Manager for Contemporary Music at the Direction de la Culture; and Olivier Ravoire, Director of the Cabinet and Public Relations at the Mairie d’Orléans. A formal reception was held at the historic Hôtel Groslot, Place de l’Étape, where the spirit of partnership between our two cities was warmly celebrated. 🏛️🎉

Among the distinguished guests were LifeReni Sacco, reigning Maid Jeanne d’Arc of New Orleans 2025; Bénédicte Baranger, President of the Jeanne d’Arc Parade in Orléans; and Laurent Doisneau Herry, President of Orléans-Wichita. The delegation also enjoyed an official luncheon at the beautiful Jardin du Pavillon, Place de Gaulle. 🌿

Our visit centered around our collaboration with the Grand Piano Fest, where New Orleans jazz legends James Andrews (trumpet) 🎺 and Victor Campbell (piano) 🎹 performed as cultural ambassadors of our city’s vibrant musical heritage. Their performance was a powerful tribute to the enduring cultural connection between Orléans and New Orleans — a bond built on shared history, artistic expression, and mutual respect. 🎶✨

This mission also reinforced our mutual goals around tourism development, encouraging greater travel, cultural discovery, and exchange between our communities. 🧳🌍 We are committed to working together to promote our cities as destinations that celebrate tradition, creativity, and international friendship. 🤝💫

We extend our heartfelt thanks to our hosts in Orléans for their hospitality and partnership, and we look forward to continuing this meaningful collaboration in the years ahead. 💐🇫🇷🇺🇸
