That’s a wrap on the The Danny Barker Banjo & Guitar Festival at the New Orleans Jazz Museum — and what a weekend it was!  We celebrated the legendary Danny Barker’s legacy the best way we know how. 

A big thank you to Detroit Brooks & Kanako Fuwa Brooks for all they do year round to make this wonderful week-long festival a very special, welcoming reality. 

And, kudos to the whole Danny Barker Fest team for keeping the spirit of Danny Barker alive.  Barker’s impact on New Orleans music — from mentoring young musicians to championing the banjo and guitar in jazz — continues to resonate through every note played.
