No. 4 Georgia Bulldogs at Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets - Highlights | 2025 Regular Season Week 14, 11/28/2025

No. 4 Georgia extended its dominance in “Clean, Old-Fashioned Hate,” beating No. 23 Georgia Tech 16–9 on Friday for its eighth straight rivalry win, the longest streak in school history. Nate Frazier ran for 108 yards, and Gunner Stockton threw a 7-yard touchdown to Zachariah Branch for the game’s only touchdown. Peyton Woodring added three field goals, including a 50-yarder early in the fourth quarter to push the lead to 16–6. Georgia’s defense set the tone, holding the Yellow Jackets to just 69 rushing yards and limiting Jamal Haynes to 11 yards while forcing Tech to settle for three Aidan Birr field goals. Haynes King completed 19 of 26 passes for 181 yards and drove Tech to the Georgia 44 in the final seconds, but his last pass was batted down in the end zone.

The rivalry win felt especially meaningful for the Bulldogs, who emphasized the importance of securing eight straight in the series. Now 11–1 and 7–1 in SEC play, Georgia is positioned to maintain its No. 4 College Football Playoff spot and remain in contention for a first-round bye, showing resilience throughout a season in which it trailed in seven conference games. The Bulldogs did lose center Drew Bobo to an ankle/foot injury, while linebacker C.J. Allen returned from a one-game absence.

Georgia Tech, which moved the game to Mercedes-Benz Stadium, struggled in key moments despite keeping things close. Special teams mistakes were costly, including Shane Marshall’s fumbled opening kickoff and a 22-yard shanked punt by Marshall Nichols that set up Georgia’s touchdown drive. Birr’s three field goals gave him 25 on the year, a new school single-season record, but Georgia’s defense kept the Jackets out of the end zone and preserved the Bulldogs’ continued dominance in the rivalry. Georgia now turns its attention to the SEC Championship Game, where an 11–1 finish and a top-four CFP ranking keep the Bulldogs firmly in the hunt for another playoff run.
