As people are shopping for the holidays this weekend, consider supporting small businesses and your local museum stores where you’ll find unique, one-of-a-kind items. At the Sacramento History Museum Gift Shop, you will find cards and posters printed in our Print Shop, plus great gift items made by local artists. You can also shop our online store through our website.

November 30th is Museum Store Sunday! When you shop at a museum store, you help fund museum programs, support local artists, and build a community.

This year, we’re launching a new shopping experience in collaboration with other Sacramento area museums. Pick up a passport at a participating museum, visit as many as you can between November 28 and December 1, then be entered to win one of our Holiday Gift Baskets. Each museum store will have sales and specials on Museum Store Sunday. (No purchase necessary to enter).

Stop by the Sacramento History Museum this weekend to pick up your own Museum Store Sunday letterpress print! In this video, Jared letterpress printed a Museum Store Sunday print with blue rubber base ink using a 3x5 Kelsey Excelsior tabletop printing press. One hundred prints were made on this press run.
