Celebrating the artistry of Richard Chavez (San Felipe Pueblo), a master of inlay jewelry. For over fifty years, Chavez has perfected the intricate craft of setting coral, turquoise, and lapis lazuli into gold and silver—blending traditional Pueblo designs with 20th-century American modernism.
This bolo tie was commissioned by the Museum to honor Indigenous craftsmanship and the enduring legacy of Native artists.
