During his performance, something blue and unbelievably sparkly kept catching the editor’s eye — the Paraiba Tourmaline Cocktail Ring from Jacob & Co. The same ring made headlines earlier when it appeared in G-Dragon’s “POWER” music video.

The ring features a 44.88ct natural greenish-blue Paraiba tourmaline, 2.33ct of white diamonds, and 0.56ct of pink diamonds. It reportedly costs $6.4 million, or about 8.8 billion KRW.

Paraiba tourmaline is considered one of the world’s three rarest gemstones — right up there with serendibite and grandidierite — making it a perfect match for someone as uniquely rare as G-Dragon.

Born in 1988 and famously attached to the number 8, he even left an easter egg in the price of his jewelry. At this point, he truly deserves a Jewelry of the Year award 🫶
