#Top10Countdown Day 5️⃣ 

Cadet Aaron Bertsch is a senior double majoring in Criminology and Spanish with minors in Psychology and History at Marquette University. 

Bertsch joined #ArmyROTC because he felt drawn to a career of service and leadership. He wanted to challenge himself, develop as a leader, and prepare to serve his country as a U.S. Army officer. 

Cadre has seen Bertsch distinguish himself through a rare combination of academic excellence, maturity, and mission-focused professionalism. He consistently demonstrates initiative, seeking out opportunities such as intelligence and forensic internships, advanced ROTC training, and competitive programs like Project GO and international fellowships. He’s studied in both Oman and Israel. 

Bertsch graduated from Airborne School and has competed on the Golden Eagle Battalion’s #RangerChallenge, #NorthernWarfareChallenge, and Ranger Buddy teams. 

He’s had two incredible internship opportunities. He interned at North Central High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (NCHIDTA) in Milwaukee, Wisc., where he analyzed data and produced intelligence reports to support federal and state drug trafficking investigations. Through Army ROTC, Bertsch participated in a hands-on forensic science internship at the Global Forensic and Justice Center in Largo, Fla. During the internship, he received experience with fingerprint analysis, DNA collection, and evidence documentation.

Post graduation, Bertsch hopes to commission as a Military Intelligence officer.
