In 2016, J. Cole’s home in North Carolina was raided by 13 police officers after a report from his neighbors claiming they were selling narcotics out of the home🏡

Cole’s engineer Juro “Mez” Davis returned home from lunch to see the raid taking place, nothing was found by the police. This eventually lead to the creation of his song “Neighbors” on his 2016 album “4 Your Eyez Only” where the song samples his 2013 song “Forbidden Fruit” in reverse💿
