To celebrate #NationalCookieDay, we partnered with ejscookin and tasteofhome to share their go-to Chocolate Thumbprint Cookies, perfect with a chilled glass of Korbel Brut. 

Rich, silky, and just indulgent enough… this duo brings extra sparkle to your holiday table ✨

Want to make them? Here’s how

𝗖𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗲 𝗗𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵

• 1¼ c all-purpose flour
• ¼ c almond flour
• ½ c Dutch-process cocoa
• ½ tsp each salt + baking powder
• ¾ c butter (room temp)
• ⅔ c brown sugar + ¼ c granulated
• 2 egg yolks
• 1½ tsp vanilla bean paste
• ¼ tsp almond extract

𝗚𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲

• 1 c dark chocolate chips (60–85%)
• ½ c heavy cream

𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀

1. Heat oven to 350°F.
2. Beat butter + sugars until fluffy.
3. Add yolks, vanilla, almond extract.
4. Mix in dry ingredients until dough forms.
5. Roll into 1” balls; bake 10–12 min.
6. Press a well into each warm cookie.
7. Warm cream, pour over chocolate; rest 1 min and stir.
8. Fill cookies with ganache; top with orange zest (or flaky salt).
