Hedstrom delivered one of the most dominant seasons in Nebraska 8-man football history, leading the Cardinals to a 12-1 record and a D2 state championship appearance.

He finished with:
• 2,311 passing yards, 46 TD, 4 INT
• 1,855 rushing yards and 38 TD
• 4,698 total yards and 84 touchdowns
• A massive state title game: 347 passing yards, 6 TD, plus 3 rushing TD
• 2025 NebPreps Class D2 Football Player of the Year
