“I’m from New Delhi, India, but I had been to Raleigh before, and I really like North Carolina. Outside of academics, I think one big reason why I chose NC State is just because the weather is so close to how it is at home, and I think that is a big factor for me. I don’t do great in snow or anything, and NC State was my first choice for sure. As soon as I got the acceptance letter from NC State, I pretty much stopped even watching my email for other colleges.

NC State is a great engineering school. When I came in, I didn’t know exactly what I wanted to do, and NC State gave me that opportunity in the first year to explore all those different majors.

I’ve been working with Undergraduate Admissions (@applyncstate) as an intern for three years. We reach out to high school counselors and basically communicate with them. A lot of it is going out to Admissions events and being on student panels and basically communicating to prospective students and their parents what NC State is like and why it would be a great fit for them.

My favorite part of being an NC State student is that NC State is very welcoming to not only international students, but students from all communities. When I came in as a freshman, I didn’t know anyone here, and I was able to build a friend group very, very quickly.
