"While most college freshmen have been adjusting to residential life and attending football games, I have been exploring and adjusting to my new home in Prague. Before I left, I was worried about missing out on the 'freshman experience.' However, after spending the best three weeks of my life here, I couldn't be happier with my decision to study abroad as part of the Prague Connect Program.

Three words that describe how I am feeling are excited, tired, and independent.

So far, I have loved all of my classes and professors at NC State Prague. The Czech Language and Culture course has helped me to become more comfortable speaking to Czech locals, as well as finding my way around Prague. Even though I have only known my classmates for about three weeks, it has felt like so much longer.

I am so grateful for the opportunity NC State has given me. I couldn't imagine a better 'freshman experience' than rafting in Český Krumlov, touring ancient castles in the Czech Republic, and immersing myself in a whole new culture.
