I've been working on something really special--something so close to my heart--and I'm excited to finally share it with you.  You all know how important music is to me and to our family.  You might remember when Chrissy and I posted a video of me singing to Esti my own version of "Maybe," the Purple Monkey song from the @Fisher-Price Kick and Play Piano Gym. When we posted it, we heard from so many of you that you wished I would sing more lullabies and songs for your kids. Fisher-Price even reached out to see if we could collaborate on some music. Well, I decided to go all in and make a whole album of sing-alongs and lullabies for kids and their families. I sat at our family piano and wrote nine original songs full of the messages we share with our kids:  words of encouragement and comfort, songs about love, togetherness, imagination, exploration and GOING TO SLEEP 😂!  I also covered 2 popular classics ("Three Little Birds" & "You Are My Sunshine") and even recorded a few bonus tracks from the Fisher-Price repertoire. I'm thrilled to introduce you to the new album: My Favorite Dream.   As I was writing the songs and envisioning what they could sound like when fully arranged, I was like, "I wonder if #SufjanStevens would make a children's album with me!"  I've loved Sufjan's music for nearly 20 years now. He's such a visionary artist, and I knew he would be able to create the dreamy, whimsical soundscapes I wanted to accompany the songs. So I reached out.  And he said YES. I was so happy because he was my first and only choice to do this. So, I'm proud to say the entire album is produced by Sufjan Stevens. I'm so grateful for his genius. He blessed the album with music that was beyond my high expectations, beyond what I could have imagined.   The first single is the signature anthem for the album. It's a new song called "L-O-V-E" and it features Chrissy, Luna and Miles singing backing vocals (Luna's & Miles's first album credit!). And Luna designed and drew all the single covers for the album too! Anyone who knows anything about me knows I love singing and talking about LOVE. This song is a celebration of love. As the lyric says, "It's my favorite word," and I wrote the song because I believe in the power of love to help us see each other's humanity despite our differences, to lift us all up, and even transform our world. So, please enjoy "L-O-V-E", and I can't wait for you to hear the entire album when it drops on August 30. ♥️💙💚💛💜 #newmusic
