Kopi Luwak is the world’s most expensive and unique coffee, made from beans eaten by Luwaks, a small Indonesian mammal. After eating coffee cherries, the beans are fermented and processed by their digestive system. Their poop is collected, washed, dried, and roasted over fire before becoming a $400 kilo bag of coffee beans.

The flavor is smooth and earthy. Is it worth the high price tag? Hmm. I’m not sure. 

If you’re curious, make sure to visit a reputable farm where the Luwaks roam free and are humanely raised!!
