Did you know that if production of new clothes stopped today, that there’s enough clothes in existence for the next 6 generations of humans? 🌏6️⃣

So it blows my mind when people act like preloved or secondhand is beneath them but then claim they’re “sustainable…” or think they’re “too fashionable” or “too rich” or “INSERT OTHER EXCUSE HERE” for it. It’s definitely a mentality I see often in my line of work. 🤮 😳 👎

Nope. To me, actively CHOOSING preloved is the ultimate fashion win because it forces you to look harder, be patient, curate your wardrobe and find that gem. 💎

And just like how different each store in the mall is, same goes for preloved: you can find it at any price point or style you’re looking for. I recently saw this vintage Chanel linen vest at huntstreet.sg and styled it with a vintage necklace from their shop to show you all how stylish and luxurious preloved can be.

You know the difference when you buy proper solid wood furniture vs particleboard right? One lasts a long time and the other falls apart? That’s my analogy for preloved clothes vs fast fashion. Why keep buying crap you throw out when you can get things that stand the test of time (physically and style wise, because we all know trends always come back around).

I’ve always been an advocate for ALL preloved, but during #secondhandseptember I’m just a bit louder about it. 🔊😉
