🩷 I have made so many mistakes and faced so many challenges in the last 8-9 years with Maisha. There are times where I do tear up and think ‘what am I doing?’ Or ‘how will I get through this’ but all these moments have taught me incredible life lessons and although it was tough, I would never have it any other way.

🩷I owe this entire journey to the two special men in my life. My father and my husband. If my husband hadn’t told me ‘GO FOR IT’ when I had the idea, or if I didn’t have my dad and his 60+ years of wisdom as an entrepreneur and textile expert, Maisha would have just been a dream. 

🩷You only see one side of the coin via Instagram - but what about the other side? It’s a hot mess at times - I’ve had panic attacks, I’ve cried in my office, I have been burnt out countless of times and the juggling of motherhood and a business is no easy feat! However I’m still here and still standing because I LOVE WHAT I DO and I am so proud of the positive impact Maisha has made in this industry. 

🩷I wear my heart on my sleeves and I go above and beyond for my people. However, I do get played at times. I trust too soon, believe to fast, and at times get burned because of that. But guess what? I still believe in people. I still choose to trust, because if i didn’t - I wouldn’t have met the gems I now call MY TRIBE. 

🩷I don’t live in Maisha 247. Being a clothing brand designer and owner doesn’t mean I wear my own brand for every single occasion. I love my brand and most of the time in it, but I am also fond of and value a select few brands who have the same ethos, quality and values as Maisha.
