In case you need a break from scrolling, here’s a painting by Sir Peter Paul Rubens 🫱✨

Rubens was one of the greatest artists in history. Around 1614, he created “Daniel and the Lions’ Den.” It’s a painting that combines realism and theatricality so well, you may feel a bit anxious after a close look. 

Seeing it in person means locking eyes with several menacing seven-foot-tall lions as a nearly naked Daniel cowers at the center of the voracious pride. It’s an uneasy, heart-pumping experience, just as the artist intended.
