## Caption

From ancient myth to a new monument in Central Park, artist Monira Al Qadiri (moniraism), with curators Melanie Kress and November Paynter, reflects on the journey of bringing "First Sun" into being. 🪲 

The exhibition is on view at Doris C. Freedman Plaza in centralparknyc through August 2026 before traveling to the Lassonde Art Trail in Toronto’s Biidaasige Park.
