Spotify Korea (spotifykr) just dropped insights from last week’s 2025 Wrapped, highlighting the massive global and local growth of Korea’s indie and rock scenes this year! 🎸✨

According to the Wrapped data, K-indie streams jumped 68% and K-rock grew 16% globally compared to last year. It’s pretty clear now that global listeners are falling in love with way more than just K-pop — Korean music as a whole is expanding worldwide.

Spotify explained that this trend lines up with the company’s push since 2024 to spotlight indie and rock artists. And it definitely worked: tons of artists featured through Spotify’s programs and events ended up ranking high on the global charts in this year’s Wrapped.
