À la suite d’un burn-out, Hélène a quitté Paris pour s’installer avec son mari et ses enfants dans la ville vosgienne où elle a grandi. Un nouveau départ réussi… jusqu’au jour où, sur le parking d’un restaurant, elle croise Christophe Marchal, idole de ses années lycée, toujours auréolé de sa gloire d’hockeyeur vedette de la région. Le temps a passé, Hélène se lance pourtant à corps perdu dans la liaison qu’elle avait jadis fantasmée.
