70 ans après la présidence de Marcel Pagnol à la tête du Jury des Longs Métrages, son film #Merlusse était projeté à #Cannes2025 dans une version restaurée 4K et en présence de son petit fils, Nicolas Pagnol. Une séance Cannes Classics qui marquait la renaissance du personnage de Blanchard, un pion borgne et détesté du lycée Thiers à Marseille. Justement, Noël approche, et comme l’internat se vide, seule une poignée d’élèves s’apprête à y passer les fêtes, sous la stricte surveillance de celui qu'ils ont surnommé « Merlusse »...

70 years after Marcel Pagnol presided over the Feature Film Jury, his film #Merlusse was screened at #Cannes2025 in a restored 4K version and in the presence of his grandson, Nicolas Pagnol. A Cannes Classics screening that marked the rebirth of the character of Blanchard, a one-eyed, hated pawn of the Lycée Thiers in Marseille. Christmas is just around the corner, and as the boarding school empties out, only a handful of students are prepared to spend the holidays there, under the strict supervision of the man they've nicknamed “Merlusse”...
