Ten years ago, governments around the world pledged to defend the climate by signing the #ParisAgreement at #COP21.⁣
⁣
Ten years on, the reality is alarming: disinformation is spreading, environmental rollbacks are multiplying, and fundamental rights are under threat.⁣
⁣
Why? Because political leaders, polluting corporations and billionaires continue to defend a destructive system that protects the profits of a few at the expense of people, the climate and biodiversity.⁣
⁣
Yesterday in Paris, greenpeace_france joined forces with anvcop21 and actionjusticeclimat_paris to expose 10 years of climate sabotage with a giant banner in front of the Eiffel Tower, naming the faces behind it: Macron, Trump, far-right figures, oil executives and billionaire polluters.⁣
⁣
While ultra-wealthy polluters face no real constraints and fossil fuel corporations post record profits, people everywhere are paying the price of climate chaos. Climate sabotage is not inevitable. Collective mobilisation remains our strongest force: to inform, to expose injustice, to demand accountability, to build alternatives and to stand with those already facing the impacts of the climate crisis.⁣
