A criminal court judge sentenced #Orleans Parish jail escapee #DerrickGroves to two life sentences and 100 years in state prison after years of delays in the case.

Groves k-lled #ByronJackson and #JamarRobinson and injured two others when he opened fire on a crowd outside of a Ninth Ward home on #MardiGras Day in 2018.

Groves laughed and smiled as ad-hoc Judge #DennisWaldron spoke throughout the sentencing. Waldron said the sentences are to run consecutively. 👀
