Produced by our Natural History Unit, Springwatch returns with even more wildlife wonder than ever before for its 20th anniversary. We’re proud to reflect on two decades of innovative wildlife storytelling and to mark the next chapter in its evolution.
 
From its inception Springwatch heightened viewers’ connection to the wild, using cutting-edge camera technology to bring intimate moments from the natural world into homes across the UK.
 
In 2025, we’re building on that legacy with a series that’s as ambitious as ever. It features:
 
📍 Two new locations: The National Trust’s Longshaw Estate in the Peak District and a nature trek across Northern Ireland.
 
🦊 New wildlife stories: From red-listed ring ouzels to urban foxes, capturing species and behaviours never before featured on the show.
 
🚪Springwatch Street: Bringing the nation’s gardens into the spotlight, showcasing the wildlife dramas unfolding just outside our doors.
 
🙌 Interactive storytelling: The audience stays at the heart of the show with live Q&As, user generated content, and live engagement.
 
With 20 years of footage, advancing tech, and audience insight, Springwatch is uniquely positioned to reflect on how our wildlife has changed and what the future might hold. 🌟🌱
