Our incredible Science Unit has taken things to the next level for this series, integrating real dinosaur digs and basing the VFX on the latest scientific discoveries to captivate a whole new generation of viewers 🌟 πŸŽ₯ Fun production facts: πŸŽ₯ πŸ¦– Huge care went into the dinosaur creation. The VFX team meticulously built the skeleton, musculature, and skin of the creatures across two and half years! πŸ¦– To simulate the interactions between the VFX Spinosaurus and water, the team used an 8kg bright blue, almost 2-metre-long, 3D printed head for realistic river scenes. πŸ¦– For a beached giant ammonite scene, the team crafted custom-made four-foot-long silicone tentacles, which were then artfully placed on the beach with sand, seaweed, and other debris to mirror modern-day beached squids.
