Australian authorities have released dramatic footage showing a skydiver left dangling thousands of meters in the air after their reserve parachute snagged on a plane’s tail.⁣

The incident happened south of Cairns during a stunt jump in September. A planned formation broke down when the skydiver’s reserve chute was accidentally activated and wrapped itself around the aircraft.⁣

The jumper cut the tangled lines with a hook knife and then deployed their main chute, landing safely. The plane, despite serious tail damage, also made it back to the ground after a mayday call.⁣
