Before Baller Alert became a digital media powerhouse, it started in the VIP rooms of Washington, D.C.’s biggest mega clubs. The owner was a  VIP coordinator, the gatekeeper, the one booking the artists, running the lists, and yes… literally alerting the girls when the ballers were in the building. That’s where the name Baller Alert was born.

In this episode, the founder uncovered old camcorder tapes (Gen Z… Google that 😭) that capture the early days... including the night  she booked Kanye West during his first album promo run. Two clubs, $5K each, thousands of people inside… and Kanye trying to renegotiate at the door. A wild era, but he walked in and shut the whole place down.

These tapes are the receipts of how it all started.
