2025 DEKA World Championship 
December 5-7, 2025 (Coach POV) 

This year at DEKA Worlds I wore a new hat. One I've been beyond excited to wear: Coach. Last year I had my one (and only) athlete, Leigh, onboard before DWC. This year we rolled in as a squad of 9. I could write a New York Times Best Seller but i'll keep things short-ish. 

This weekend I promised myself two things: I would try my absolute best to catch every one of my athletes on course & make sure they hear me and I would show up for them in any capacity they needed throughout the weekend. This weekend was just as important for them as it was for me. 

My team balled out. Each one of them stepped on to the start line confident and ready to battle. It showed in their preparation, how they carried themselves on race day, and how they executed their races. When the weekend concluded the results showed 17 podiums (5 Elite/12 Age Group), 23 Top-5 finishes and loads of PR's. 

It's a privilege to be in this position. I'm proud. Not because of the success and podiums, but because I got to witness these athletes become the best version of themselves throughout this year. Watching you all show up daily, fight for your goals, and grow through the hard days has been some of the greatest experiences I've had this year. I’m proud not just of what you achieve, but of who you’re becoming as athletes. I proud of the people you are. Being your coach is an honor I don’t take lightly, and I couldn’t be more grateful to walk this journey beside you all. I'll meet you at the finish line, everytime. 

We are one big team at underdog.fitness.gym. I am lucky enough to be under the umbrella serving as a coach to some of our incredible athletes. The smiles, laughs, and shared moments of greatness; coupled with the success everyone had throughout the weekend is always what makes DEKA Worlds weekend special. 

We're just getting started. Bring on 2026!
